Dear Members,

Happy New Year!!  We have a lot of fun activities happening in the New Year starting with our Valentine's Bunco Fundraiser in February and our Vintage Home Tour in April.

Our Valentine's Bunco Fundraiser is on Saturday, February 15th.  This is open to one and all and you do not have to be a member to join in on the fun.  There will be wonderful prizes for the winners and a $20 donation is requested to play.  Please call or text Nancy Mannon to play at (909)238-9047.

Our home tour "A Slice of Upland" is swiftly approaching on Sunday April 5th!  We have some fabulous homes on the tour this year featuring homes from Upland's agricultural past in addition to homes located in Upland's Historic Downtown Districts.  From a very grand 1891 Victorian home on Euclid Avenue to a very special cozy 1920's English Revival cottage in downtown.  One of the tour highlights this year will be a Mediterranean Revival home designed by architect Myron Hunt.  This is the first time it has ever been featured in Upland Heritage's Home tour so it is quite a treat!!  For more details look under events on this webpage.

The home tour is our biggest fundraiser and helps us immensely with the funding for our historic home/building restoration grant program.  If you would like to tour the homes for free we are actively looking for volunteer docents at the homes.  It is a 3 1/2 hour commitment and there are speaking and non-speaking roles.  Please contact Nancy Mannon our Board Member and Docent Queen at (909)238-9047 soon as the volunteer positions are filling up rapidly.  In addition to being a docent at the home tour we have advertising available in our home tour booklet at a cost of $275 full page, $150 1/2 page and $50 for a business card.  Please call me at (951)966-5698 or email me at uhpresident@yahoo.com to advertise.

Upland Heritage Members had a magical evening spread out along three beautiful homes at our Holiday Progressive dinner on Saturday, December 7th , Thanks go out to Lottie Miller and Julie Bridge for welcoming us into your homes that evening.  We are already looking for homes for next year's dinner, so if you are interested in sharing your home please contact us.

As always please feel free to contact us at any time with any questions or suggestions you may have.

Best Regards,

Kati Parker
