10 am - 4 pm

2020 Vintage Tour "A View of Upland"

On Sunday, April 5th, Upland Heritage will host a memorable historic home tour featuring homes from Upland’s agricultural citrus past in addition to homes located in Upland’s historic downtown districts.  From a very grand Farmhouse Grove Victorian home on Euclid Avenue to a charming and cozy English Revival cottage featuring a proper English garden in downtown, tour participants will feel as if they have traveled back in time to Victorian Era America at some homes and early 20th century Europe in others.

One of the tour highlights this year will be a historic home designed by famous architect Myron Hunt to replicate an Italian Villa. Myron Hunt also designed the Huntington mansion for Henry Huntington in San Marino and was known as one of the most important Southern California architects of the 20th Century. This is the first time this home has been featured in one of Upland Heritage’s tours and may be the last, so you don’t want to miss it.

This year’s Vintage Home Tour is self-guided with guests driving to the homes in Upland with a map and addresses provided on the ticket. All homes are open, rain or shine, from 10 am to 4 pm on the day of the tour: Sunday, April 5th. Guests may visit the homes in any order they wish. A minimum of 5 hours is recommended for full enjoyment. Some of the homes are two-story and understandably even the single-story residences were not built to be handicapped accessible. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

To add to your nostalgic experience of this historic home tour Old-fashioned Box Lunches will be available from 11 AM to 2PM the day of the tour and can be enjoyed in the ambiance of a historic Italian Villa Courtyard or the charming backyard of an Eastlake Victorian Estate. Lunch will include a tasty sandwich, chips, fruit, dessert and drink and are available prepaid for $10 and for $12 on the day of the tour. The number of lunches available are limited so reserve yours now!

Tickets purchased in advance are $30 for the tour and $35 on the day of the tour. Tour tickets may be purchased in advance at Antiques Etc. at 270 N Second Avenue (Historic Downtown Upland), My Jeweler at 1875 N Campus (Colonies Crossroads), Cooper Museum at 217 East "A" Street, (across from the Metrolink) and online on our HOME or SHOP page.
